'Future living- Future building' A traveling exhibition in five sustainably built and designed 'sculptural' pavilions. The pavilions will house an exhibition about new materials and design and new forms of sustainable building with the theme: from old to new. The pavilions are placed in the public space and like large sculptures they are buildings that one can walk into. Lightweight with open structures, sculptural, with a lot of light that are placed in the public outdoor space. Makers Various artists, architects, designers and innovators make the designs. Well-known and lesser-known makers get a chance to let their imaginations work. Different artists are involved in each region and two designs are also moved on to the next place. In the new location, three new designers are making the pavilions. The art/design project is about the transition to a sustainable society and provides information about living lab projects with new materials in design and new building materials made from ecological and circular materials. In the newly designed sustainable pavilions, we present an exhibition about new materials with films, design and photography. With lectures we inform about new forms of construction and new (social) living forms in villages and towns and we enter into a dialogue. We will start in the monumental heritage town of Zierikzee and we will travel through various provinces to the Wadden. From old to new. By placing the newly designed pavilions next to heritage, we show a piece of history about old and new materials. New circular developments in the use of materials in product design and sustainable development and in construction. Makers and design Every maker makes/designs a pavilion that is multifunctional and open, also with a watertight structure. We see utopian and more practical designs. Preference is given to structures that are easily foldable, movable and buildable. Also easy to transport and rebuild to and at a new location. This project will soon get off the ground and is under development: cooperation parties are already there, but we can certainly use more.
